My kid sister brought home her school newspaper today and I flipped through it out of interest. One of the articles was by a kid who talked about how he and his 3 brothers and father all prononuced their names the same way; they were just spelled differently.

Dad: Bryan
Kids: Brien, Brian, Bryn, and Briean

The dad also talked about why they chose the names: it made them feel closer.

I swear.

So when you're picking a name before a kid is born, or just after, you're predicting the future as well now, according to the dad.
