well actually she was one of my dad's students (he teaches high school algebra) and she told him her mom craved pancakes and syrup so much when she was pregnant she named her Jemimah. When he told me that i was like, "well then I would have been McDonald's, or more specifically Fries."

I don't have an issue with the name Jemimah, but I'm in Australia and have no idea what the pancakes and syrup connection is. Jemimah is a toy doll on playschool here, and she is also Jemimah Puddleduck from the Beatrix Potter stories, so those are the connections I have with it.

My least favourite names are Paige and Lynn but I have no real reason why. I just can't stand them.

Frank Zappa's daughter is named Moon Unit. In Oregon in 2005 there was 6 children named Lucifer. My parents went to high school with a boy named Donald Duck, my step-dad's dentist is named Dr. Payne and there was a girl named Luscious Delight at a high school my mom worked at.

A friend of mine wants to name her first son Remington. Yes, after the rifle. Then, she also named her dog Reefer, so a redneck name suits her. My theory is her name, Brandi, partly influenced her tastes.

And I could be the future mother of Rooster, if I reproduce with my boyfriend. He has had his heart set on naming his first son that for years and years, he told me. I said it would be a great nickname, but he insists he wants it to be the name on the birth certificate. Thank you, Alice in Chains!
