I don't have an issue with the name Jemimah, but I'm in Australia and have no idea what the pancakes and syrup connection is. Jemimah is a toy doll on playschool here, and she is also Jemimah Puddleduck from the Beatrix Potter stories, so those are the connections I have with it.

My least favourite names are Paige and Lynn but I have no real reason why. I just can't stand them.

there is a syrup and pancakes brand named "Aunt Jemimah" and that is actually what the kid was named after becuase her mother craved that when she was pregnant with her.
