Update: In an appearance this morning on The Early Show, the Duggar family revealed that the new baby is a girl. Not surprisingly, they also shared that they will continue on the name theme, meaning their new daughter will have a 'J' moniker as well.
Their new reality series, 17 Kids and Counting, premieres tonight on TLC at 10 p.m.

Date: 2008-09-29 04:07 pm (UTC)eta: january because of the due date. and the probability that she'll deliver in january. though that is a bit cliché. then again, so is naming 18 children w/ the same first letter.
eta2: i promise this is the last one, i was just re-reading the post and noticed this: We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us.
no, i'd say march-april is a busy time for you. :-)

Date: 2008-09-29 05:34 pm (UTC)This family disturbs the hell out of me. Who knows what they'll come up with for the name. They haven't managed to use ANY of the J-names I like, and I like a bunch of J-names. For girls I really love Julianne, Juliet, Jocelyn, Jean and Jane. But I doubt they'll use any of those.
If Joshua starts having litters of kids with J-names, too, I'm going to seriously puke.

Date: 2008-09-29 09:47 pm (UTC)As for the names, so what. Yeah, we think we could do better. But what's more important, a person's name, or being part of a huge loving family to share life with.

Date: 2008-09-29 09:52 pm (UTC)I know many childfree folks who would dispute this. Also, I can understand why people might think 18 kids are a bit much. (e.g., This planet is overpopulated as is, more people correlate with greater usage of resources, some people's tax dollars may be affected, etc.)

I also hope they're not going with Jessica, as they already have a Jessa!

Date: 2008-09-29 10:50 pm (UTC)But back to the topic...I'm guessing they'll name her Jemma, since most of the girls' names end in 'a.'
