Sep. 26th, 2008 04:55 pmI love the nickname Whit and have had the name Whitman on my list for a few months, but when I was driving home I saw Whitaker on a car and I started liking that as a full name. I used to say it whit-take-er but I realized I like it better said whidd-ick-er. What do you think of it?

Date: 2008-09-27 01:33 am (UTC)It is a last name. In the case of one, it WAS his last name and he just went by it. In the case of the other two, it was their middle name and their parents had done that "Mom's maiden = middle" thing.
It is WEIRD that I've known three Whitakers, now that i'm thinking about it.
