I think that a lot of these names would have been great if they were spelled differently. I like Amalah as is. The names I would spell differently are Cecily and Henry. I prefer the Italian/Spanish Anna Sophia to the French Anne-Sophie. I don't care or like the others.

I would prefer Cecilly spelled Cecily. I like Joelle, but wouldn't use it. Henre is good.

I don't like Ehrich, Garro, or Amalah.

I've always loved Joelle! Too bad I can't use it because my last name ends in -elle...

It's funny: a Joelle, I know, except it's a girl. Joella, I've never heard that name before in my life. Without the first H, I would really like Ehrich. As in, Erich. That's the only way I like that name. Henre is nice.

Ehrich-- I don't like this name (or Aron, I associate the two for some reason) and any weird spelling of either just irks me.

Cecily-- I love this name and prefer it with one l and a c.

Garro-- weird

Amalah-- pretty, but NMS

Anne-Sophie-- both fine names, if a little bland, but a horrible combo!

Joelle-- I've heard this name a lot. It's fine, NMS,

Joella-- Lol, I just mistyped this 'Hoella'. Either way-- ick!

Cherely-- Okay, first off, I hate the name Shirley. Second that would not be pronounced Shirley. Perhaps Share-lee Share-i-lee or Chair-lee.

Henre-- Eh, I don't mind Henri, but pron. 'Ohn-ree'. This is just weird and I might think to pron. it Henry, but that's not the way it should be pronounced, in American English anyway.

Well, hell I can say my daughter's name is pronounced Sarah and spell it Fxpqtd12. The parents may pronounce it that way, but it shouldn't be pronounced that way. I thought it went without saying, but I guess I do need to state the obvious-- I don't like either pronunciation, but I especially don't like that they're pronouncing it incorrectly.

Well, if someone tells me their name, that's what I'm going to call them. However, this is a baby names community and the issue of spelling names properly is a pertinent one here. There's a difference between discussing a name and rudely calling someone by a different name because they spelled it incorrectly.

*edit*
And I apologize if I seemed overly defensive in my original comment.

I love Cecily, but "Cilly" as a nickame? Like... "silly" with a c?
