My husband and I are officially trying to get pregnant. That being said... I've finally been able to coax him to talk about names that he likes now that there is a reason. :P

He thought of, for a boy, Andy Andrew C***. It is his paternal grandfathers name. Both Andy, Andrew, and the combination of the two are traditional in his family. Hubbys middle name is Andrew and his brothers first name is Andy, additionally.

We like the name of his maternal grandmother (she passed when he was around three) so, although not along the lines of our usual tastes, it holds great signifigance and meaning. That would be Grace. The only real conflict is that our niece is also named Grace.

My mother-in-law will probably flip if we don't name him or her something semi-normal so I guess I have to keep that in mind. :P

Maybe suggest you do what you MIL did for her sons and give one "Andy" and the other "Andrew" (but not both as first names)... The two together are just a little too much I think!

As a side note, I adore the name Andrea. I'm not sure if it's what you're after, but I think Andrea Grace would be beautiful for a girl.

I just wanted to add you might also like to just use the initials A. A. C_____ . I know a family who have a tradition to name sons with the same initials, funnily enough they are A. A. lol Some of their names are:

Austin Andrew (baby)
Andrew Alexander
Alistair Aaron
Allan Acheson
Archer Abraham (baby)
Alexander (Alex)
Angus
Ashley
Adam
Amin
