So, a friend of mine just had a baby.

He named her Abigail.
I love that name.

Is it tacky if I use it also?

It's not after his child.. My ex's grandmother's name is Gail, and I would consider using her name, however I wouldn't name my baby Gail. Abigail is perfect.
Its a very classic, sweet name, I think.


So tacky, y/n?

I was just going to ask how close you and the friend were...if it was a super-close person, it might be a little weird...not that they invented the name or anything, but just because it might be kind of confusing. But under the circumstances, sure, go for it :-)
