Personal Name Taste

So.. I find my personal name taste seems to change drastically.

I find myself thinking that even if I have names set in stone, when I finally HAVE children they will most likely change because I doubt my kids will look anything like I picture the children of the names I like looking like.

It seems more than likely that despite picking names ahead of time, that quite a few people probably are stumped when they're handed a baby that looks nothing like little Jacob Xavier Thomas Cruise, or whatever.

That aside, right now my name taste is..

For boys, I'm still really stuck on Sirius Arthur. Possibly other variations that include either Sirius and/or Arthur, but I would really love to honor my grandfather and my father with Arthur as a middle name. I couldn't use it as a first name, it's a little too old-fashioned for my first-name tastes.

For a girl I really have no idea. I honestly love Remi Christine, but I think that, being as my girlfriend is blonde and will most likely be the biological parent (So far I'm carrying the baby, she's providing the egg. She's blonde and brown eyed, so baby will either be blonde, or if dad is not blonde.. whatever dad is?), I don't see Remi as a little blonde girl.

I like them both. They have what-have-become classical references, but stand on their own. Joking or not.

Congratulations to you and your girlfriend. (Although I'm confused that you say she will most likely be the biological parent when she is providing the egg-- you mean that that's the plan and it hasn't happened yet?)

Yeah we aren't making babies yet.

Biologically it'll be her child, but I'm going to carry it inside me? Does that make more sense? Lol.
