What do you think of the name Alysson?

Sounds either made up or mispelled.

Alison is fine, but too plain for my style.
I love Alyssa, though!

Ouch. I'm sorry, my name is Alison, and Alysson just looks... atrocious. I can deal with Allison, even Alyson or Allyson, but the y and the double s is just so unnecessary, and it just makes it look like someone can't spell. Trust me, if you name her Alysson, no one will EVER spell her name right.

I like it better with just one s: Alyson.

Well, I like the name Alison. Are you pronouncing them the same, or is the accent on the second syllable?

I like it spelled Allyson or Allison.

I think the name is ok spelled Alison; definitely not feeling the Alysson spelling. However, Alyssa looks and sounds similar, and I rather like that. :)

My sister's name is Alison, and I prefer that spelling.
I'm a firm believer in traditional spellings- if you want to be creative, use an unusual name (although, in general, I'd rather be creative with the nursery decor than a child's name).
IMO, the only thing being creative with the spelling of a traditional name accomplishes is dooming your child to a life of saying "Actually, it's spelled...."

Too many s's. I prefer Alyson. Or better yet, Allison or Alison.

out of all the spellings of it, i like allison best. i'm biased because of my sister's name :) alison comes second. i'm really not a fan of the y or the extra s. it's a lovely name though!

Hate it. Yes, that way is ugly, but just the name, the sound of it, I hate. I couldn't care less how it's spelled.

it looks like it should be prounounced Uh-lyss-on. I think it looks bad. I'd prefer Alison or Alyssa, but not combined.

It's a little too plain for my taste, but I've been growing fonder of it lately.

I only like it spelled Alison though, Allyson seems overkill to me.
