Names you hate

Abigail. Probably the most hideous name I've ever heard. Sure there are some bad names like Horace, Agatha and stuff like that. But, I think Abigail is the ugliest name around. I hate it so much. Is there a name that you hate so much that it brings distaste to your mouth? Fess up! There's gotta be some!

Abigail doesn't bother me because I like short vowel sounds in names, which is why I prefer Anna names over Anne names...
E.g Susanna - each syllable goes quickly - as opposed to Suzanne, in which the last syllable drags out "suzaaaaaaaaanne"... ew. So yeah - Paige, being mostly a long vowel sound and sounding just like the word page, is not very pretty to me at all. (Whereas Abigail may not be my pick either, but the "Abi" part moves along quickly so it's fine)

I hate the name Chloe. Zoe isn't quite as bad, but for some reason whenever I hear Chloe, it makes me think of a snobby little french poodle or something. It also makes your face look funny when you say it.

well, there are names like greta, bertha, etc which are absolutely terrible (does anyone like those?), but i really don't like the name jennifer. i have a few friends named that and i love them, but i don't understand the appeal of that name or why it was so popular in the 80's. as for boys, i absolutely hate the name duwayne/duane/dwayne... i feel bad for anyone named that.

I've always hated the name Dustin. It sounds so backwoods white-trash to me. I went to school with a boy named "Doyle" which is equally as hideous.

As for girl names? I mostly despise the names teen moms everywhere seem to name their daughters...you know, Kaylyn, Shaylyn, Ashlyn, Kylie, Riley. Gag me. To me, it's like CONDEMNING your daughter to a trailer park life forever.

I absolutely detest the name Alexis. It's not so bad for a boy, but for a girl... I've known so many people fawn over that name and say they want a kid named that, and every time I gag. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of girls names that end in "-is" anyway.

I don't hate Abigail, but it reminds me too much of snobby blondes (yes, plural) that I knew when I was younger, so I don't think I can ever think of it as a good name.
