[identity profile] lilmizmombassa.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi Everyone,
I need some advice. I'm not pregnant and won't be for three or more years, but I am in a very serious relationship. One that will (hopefully) end in marriage. He and I enjoy discussing the names of our future children, and I'm turning to this community for advice.

My mom's name is Cecelia Marie. I'm Caitlin Marie. I've never liked either of our names (though I much prefer mine to hers) but my mom named me with the joy that she and I would have the same initials. I would like to do the same for my daughter one day.

So, what are your favorite "C" names for girls? I like Charlotte and Clara very much, and did like Cailee and Cree, but Cailee/Cree Marie is wayyyyy too rhyming for me. He likes Carmelena (his paternal grandmother's name) but I'm less than thrilled with it. He's very willing to compromise and seems to like Clara more than Charlotte.

What do you think of Clara Marie? Like it? Hate it? Also, any other "C" names you think would go well with Marie. The last name begins with an "M" and is eight letters and very Italian sounding, if that helps.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate any suggestions you have. :-)

I think Carmelena is beautiful and it is nice to give a nod to his family as well.

I really like Charlotte, might use it myself. I prefer Clara to it's counterpoint Claire.

Cree sounds too harsh and that is not a pretty spelling of Kailey.

Marie is a pretty vanilla mn, so almost anything you like would probably go with it.

Some of these are NMS, but all are names I've heard before,y faves are bolded--

Lol, it does sound like Creamery!

You're welcome. Christiana is the name of a very close family friend of mine. I always liked that is was more than the boring old Christina. Chayla is actually from a book, but is a real name.. I've heard it pronounced with both a hard Ch sound and a Sh sound.
