Jul. 13th, 2008 08:21 pmI know this has nothing to do with baby names... but I am going to be changing my last name to my biological father's. I was just wondering what other people's oppinions are.
I will be going from:
Stephanie Sara Muir
to:
Stephanie Sara DeBeer
Yes I know the ammount of shit and joke's I'll get for my soon to be new last name, but do you know how much shit I already get for my current one.
So what do you guys think?

I can see the "beer" jokes on the new one (but the diamonds reference is still the strongest one to me), but why were you teased about your current last name?

Date: 2008-07-13 02:06 pm (UTC)The "beer" jokes, they would be easy to put up with. As for my current one, growing up I always got: Manure, smelly Manure, cow Manure. Nothing too harsh, but being called manure get's annoying pretty fast.

Date: 2008-07-13 02:08 pm (UTC)Nothing is wrong with it, I am taking the name change to feel closer to my bio-father and his family - and manily because my mother has cut me out of her life... so I don't want her last name.
