This couple in my church just had a baby. They named her Gracie Imelda. I'm not sure about the spelling, but that's what I was told the middle name was. Now, Gracie is really cute, not something I'd name my kid, but cute. But Imelda? The kids just destined to have so many shoe jokes thrown at her.

So I've really started taking a liking to the name Louisa lately. And I lovelovelove Elinor, so what do y'all think about Elinor Louisa?

I like Elinor spelled that way. I like it better than Eleanor...I think because that way makes me think of two things. 1.) Eleanor Roosevelt, which isn't bad at all
3.) the car in "Gone in 60 Seconds", which isn't bad at all.

"Elinor" makes me think of "Elsinor" which is Hamlet's home. I love literary names, even if it wasn't a person.

I've seen Elinor spelled that way before on kids.

Don't like Gracie. Sounds like the family chocolate lab.

My mom wanted to name their chocolate lab Gracie, but I made her not because I really love the name "Grace."

And now my fiance says it is a dumb name anyway.
