meeee again!
Jun. 22nd, 2008 07:53 pmSo Hubby and I are pretty certain we are going to name our baby girl Amelia....but we are sooo lost on middle names.
We were stuck between Celia Rowan and Eliza Rowan, but we are not sure if Rowan sounds good with Amelia. Amelia Rowan...Im not sure.
We would rather the middle name be "less common"...since Amelia is on the more popular side. So...no Grace, no Rose..
PLEASE help me with middle name combinations!! I really appreciate it.

Date: 2008-06-23 11:04 am (UTC)I think Rowan goes with Amelia just as well as it does with Celia or Eliza. It's fine, but not particularly spectacular with any of them. Maybe just because I am not excited by the name Rowan, so I'm pretty neutral to the combo.
You've got lots of great suggestions in this thread and Amelia is a lovely name- congratulations and best wishes!

Date: 2008-06-24 12:36 am (UTC)I think it's fine either way. I've grown to see names more on their own than with middle names since I've been with my husband, because he's Chinese and nobody in his family has middle names. For those who have an English name they go by, they use their chinese name in place of a legal middle name, so that's what we're going to do. So our kids' names are going to sound very unflowy in the conventional sense. But that's fine because if the first and middle name don't flow, people won't say it all together as much and it won't make any difference.
Ok I went off on a tangent but basically I get the husband thing and think that if it's about middle names then it's all good
