Alaska Lucille

I know, I know, I KNOWWWW, Alaska is the name of a state, not a person, but seriously, I can't get this name out of my head. I posted about it a few weeks ago, and generally, people hated it, but still, bear with me. For those who didn't see my post, I read a book, "Looking For Alaska" by John Green, and it has had some serious effects on me. In addition, I've always wanted to go to Alaska, always, I think it'd be so beautiful and wonderful there.

So, basically, Alaska has a lot of strong connotations for me. The book really did change my life, and the state is someplace I've been dying to go for honestly, a very long LONG time.

I mean, people name their kid's places all the time. London, Dakota, so is Alaska really that out of place?

And how about just the combo, Alaska Lucille. Yay or nay?

Thank youuu!

I actually quite like a lot of place names, although very few of the ones that are actually popular. I HATE Dakota. I probably wouldn't actually ever use a name like this on a child of my own, but if I did it would have to be in a situation where, like you, the place itself had some really important significance to me, and not just because the name sounds good. But it would also have to do that.

That being said, I do think Alaska is kind of a pretty name. It looks a little bit harsh written down, but I think it sounds nice. I really really hate the name Lucille, though, so that particular combo is a no for me. I'm usually pretty bad at coming up with middle names, since I expect to use mostly family names as middle names on my future kids, but it struck me that Louise would be a pretty middle name in this instance.
