I wanted to ask the opinion of people who appreciate names as much as me

Okay so question.....

My husband is adopting my son. We are going to change his last name of course and his middle name. I really want my husband to help me pick a name. He loves the name Alexander. I love it too. But....he has an ex girlfriend whos name is Alexandria. I hate her. Those names a real close to each other and she is the only reason why I am refusing to use Alexander. I also like the name Nathaniel and since I'm being stubborn about the closness his exgirlfriends name we are leaning towards Nathaniel. Now the question. Am I being stupid? I should just get over it right? Alexander is a great name, I think.

He is going to be 5 years old in a week. Unfortunatly he can't be part of the decision making because he doesn't understand what's going on. He's autistic. Man I wish he could be thought. It would be cool to hear what his name choices would be. He might pick something from Dragon ball Z, Foster's home for imaginary friends or SpongeBob...haha! That would be funny.
