Arsen is a name. There's nothing that says I can't change the E to an O. Thank you and goodnight.

Some country, somewhere, "Turde" could be a name meaning "beauitiful one" but that doesn't mean I'd chose it. Even if it's a considered a name, people would always associate this with fires. Just because a name sounds pretty to you, doesn't give good reason to give it to your child. :) I'm not trying to take sides or anything, just my opinion.

Seriously. No one is saying you can't name your kids Arson, Arsen, Arsehole or whatever name you feel like.

What we are questioning is exactly how sensible it is to give your child a name that reminds people, first and foremost of:

1) A serious crime
2) A swear word
3) The bottom

I wasn't being rude, there is no reason for you to be. Even though this thread is old, I wouldn't suggest naming your son Arsen. Please make sure you can accept the fact that others might not like your name. This is the internet, people are quite capable of being brutally honest.

You can name your child whatever you want.

That doesn't mean it isn't a horrible name.

Hopefully by the time you're at the kids having stage of your life, you'll agree!
