Kaia (rhymes with Maia) is really pretty! It's a lovely international name that's managed to remain relatively undiscovered thus far here. Because of its similarities to other familiar names, it will be regarded as unusual while not being so far out that people will find it strange or hard to pronounce. It's a little mysterious, a little artsy, and is plausible as a name for someone in any profession.
Unfortunately, giving it a -lyn ending yanks it out of the "undiscovered gems" category and stuffs it unceremoniously into the formulaic "sounds to which people have tacked on -lyn". The whole image changes, and not for the better, I am afraid.
