I am annoyed at the movie industry.

Since about a year and a half ago, my SO and I decided that we'd name the next boy we had (if we had one) Tristan. I've been in love with the name since I was a teenager after reading the fable, Tristan and Isolde. Now I fear this new movie (which, incidentally, I can't WAIT to see) will make the name unbearably popular. Growing up as 1 of a zillion Jennifer's in the 80's has turned me off completely to anything extremely popular. I don't want to name my child that and it become the new "Aiden". So it leads me to this question, should I automatically dismiss it if it does become insanely popular? Should popularity matter quite so much when choosing a name? Ideally I won't have to worry about this when it comes time to think about it (we're not even trying yet, probably late this year,) but I was just wondering about it while trying to avoid working.

Opinions?

Well, I don't know. Can you imagine your son having another name? Tristan is a great name, but the thing about names being insanely popular is that usually if you hear them all the time they lose their beauty - it's like, if you've ever repeated a word so much that it doesn't seem real any more, that sort of thing.
