 Is Reba a nickname for Rebecca?

If it's not a traditional nickname for it, could it pass for one?

the reason i asked this is because my husband and I agree on Rebecca as a name...but he HATES the idea of becca or becky as a nickname...I think Reba is a cute name by itself but he doesnt like it as a name...only a nickname :)

our daughters name is rebecca, which we love. But since we also hated the nicknames becky and becca, and weren't wild about reba, we are using her middle name instead. But to answer your question, sure reba can be used as a nickname for rebecca. :)
