Apr. 28th, 2008 02:53 amSo I've been watching a lot of 'Dead Like Me' lately; the main character's name is Georgia, nn George. I've never been fond of the name George, esp. on a girl... though, come to think of it, in the original Nancy Drew novels, one of her girl friends was called George, and I think I liked it then, when I was younger. I've never really liked state names ((Virginia, Dakota, etc.)) on people either, although they might have started out as people names ((I honestly wouldn't know, but that's what I assume)).
However, Georgia, and George ((for a girl)), have grown on me, so much that I feel it may make an appearance on my top 20 list. Georgia feels classic and elegant to me, very stately ((no pun intended...)) with a rather timeless charm; also, I've always been a big unisex name person and have come to like the idea of a girl named George ((maybe it's just the tv show)).
So, anyway, I was curious what ya'll thought.
Bonus question: ^ ^ Her sister's name is Reggie. They never say if it's a nickname or not. I don't really like it at all. WDYT?
