I dont have any kids and am not pregnant...yet. The boyfriend and I are hoping for kids in the next year or so, after I've finished uni.
We've already got the names picked (a bit ahead of ourselves) and I was wondering what people thought. We love them but we've had mixed reactions...

Boy:

Kacey William Alexandar
- William after my grandad
-Alexandar after my dad's step-dad and my great grandad

Girl:

Bethan Raen Alexandria
- Raen standing for Rapley Ansley Elizabeth Nicholson (all family names)
- Alexandria after a friend of my boyfriend

or

Eva-Rei Elizabeth
- Eva-Rei pronounced Ay-va Ray
- Elizabeth is a family name

Opinions?

Why the spelling Kacey? It looks a bit feminine for a boy. If you're going to use it for a boy, I'd go with the old traditional spelling, Casey. You don't want him to be teased.

Eva-Rei pronounced Ay-va Ray If it's pronounced that way I'd spell it that way:

Ava-Rei, or better yet:

Ava-Rae.

Otherwise she will always be called "Eee-vuh Ray."

I agree on Ava-Rei or I promise it'll get pronounced "Eee-vuh". I think Ava is beautiful. I'm not usually keen on hyphenated first names, but that one is adorable.

I think it may happen in the begining but people will get use to it, i mean it happened with my name, no one knew how to pronounce it when i was little and its quite common..

it happens but hey.. i know its the correct way of spelling and pronouncing it, i am a lil keen on ava but i prefer eva.

I agree - based on personal experience. My name is Eva, originally pronounced more like Ava.

However, after years of correcting people (both on spelling and pronunciation), I gave up. I now introduce myself as Eva (Ee-va) just to make it easier. Only my family and close friends pronounce my name the original way.

It's very annoying. I don't recommend it.

Really? People even screw up Laura?!
Gee, that's just dumb. Laura is such a pretty, classic name.
