Jan. 24th, 2006 05:33 pmI dont have any kids and am not pregnant...yet. The boyfriend and I are hoping for kids in the next year or so, after I've finished uni.
We've already got the names picked (a bit ahead of ourselves) and I was wondering what people thought. We love them but we've had mixed reactions...
Boy:
Kacey William Alexandar
- William after my grandad
-Alexandar after my dad's step-dad and my great grandad
Girl:
Bethan Raen Alexandria
- Raen standing for Rapley Ansley Elizabeth Nicholson (all family names)
- Alexandria after a friend of my boyfriend
or
Eva-Rei Elizabeth
- Eva-Rei pronounced Ay-va Ray
- Elizabeth is a family name
Opinions?

Date: 2006-01-24 10:04 am (UTC)Eva-Rei pronounced Ay-va Ray If it's pronounced that way I'd spell it that way:
Ava-Rei, or better yet:
Ava-Rae.
Otherwise she will always be called "Eee-vuh Ray."

Date: 2006-01-24 10:16 am (UTC)I like either spelling but I always though Casey looked more feminine.
Eva and Rei are both names I heard in an anime I watched and really like the sound of them. That's the way they're spelt in that but I like the way Ava-Rei looks. Not too keen on the Rae, it's too close to Raen so it would just end up Ava-Raen.
Yea, I dunno what my point was there either lol

Date: 2006-01-24 11:49 am (UTC)However, after years of correcting people (both on spelling and pronunciation), I gave up. I now introduce myself as Eva (Ee-va) just to make it easier. Only my family and close friends pronounce my name the original way.
It's very annoying. I don't recommend it.

Date: 2006-01-24 12:08 pm (UTC)There's a few people that know me as Lorna because I cannot be bothered correcting them for the 5000th time. Usually it only takes one correction and I don't mind that.
Some people are just dumb, or don't listen more likely!
