Name the sibling

I'm not pregnant but my husband and I are thinking about a second child.

We have a daughter named Ria Emily. (feel free to share thoughts on that)

We live in India. I am not Indian but my husband is. Our child(ren) will however attend an international school and will likely be surrounded with more foreigners than Indians.

Any ideas on a name for a potential sibling?

Indian names tend to be hard to pronounce for others, especially my family. I don't mind common middle names, but common first names are not an option.

There's a large Indian population where I am in Canada, and most of those I've met who have traditional Indian names find western nicknames that vaguely relate to their real name. My husband's boss, Ranjeet, goes by Ron or Randy, for instance. So that might be an option for you?

Ron's sister-in-law's name is Suki, and besides her being a sweetheart, I think her name is just about the cutest thing ever. I don't know if it's short for anything, though.

we had a calico cat named Suki. I don't know where we came up with it, but I always liked her name!

Like your friend, a lot of people called my husband different nicknames. My family still can't pronounce his brother's name correctly (rahul).
