Has your SO ever been stuck on a name that you've absolutely hated?

Example: My boyfriend and his brothers all have names that start with "J" (Jesse, Jerome, and Jonas). He has decided should he ever reproduce, his kids will also have J names. The two top choices:

Jesus (not with a soft J sound but Jee-sus)
Jedi

And no, he's not kidding.

That is cruel.

Who are employers going to take more seriously? This is an important question. Joseph/Jonathan/John/Johannes/Jed or Jedi/Jesus?? Get him to think about formality and how the kid'll feel if he doesn't live up to Jesus or Jedi or is shy and uncomfortable with his name. If he isn't a total cool cat (ha!) it'll be just another thing to be teased about, and seriously, any kid with a name like that is going to be teased at least once.

They're fine as middle names because they can be hidden, but talk it over with respect for the future unborn children in your stomach. They have feelings, too. :'(
