My aunt has a friend at work who named her daughter Ella John. John was after the woman's father whom she was very close to...
Not a fan. My mom said all she could think of was Elton John and I kind of agree.
Another name: Taylor Elizabeth.

Date: 2008-03-24 01:16 am (UTC)To me, there is a difference between hearing a name, without knowing the backstory, and saying, "Well, I don't really like that" and knowing that a name actually means something to someone and saying, "Well, I'm not a fan." Because if that name means something to someone, and you know it does -- well, as I said, it's really none of your business.
But, as I have said, that's just what I think.

Date: 2008-03-24 01:18 am (UTC)for example, if i have a girl, her middle name is going to be colleen, which is after my mother who died four years ago, with whom i was extremely close. it bugs me when people comment telling me it "doesnt flow" after i explained the middle name meaning to me. so yes, i definitely see your point.
