Date: 2006-01-05 10:25 am (UTC)lux sylva ryan? (although i'm even really iffy, because of the ryan part... too many similar sounds.)
lux luna ryan?
lux ariel ryan?
lux ariane ryan?
is ryan your surname? for my taste, it's not working in there. i like the name lux pretty well, but ryan is making it difficult to pair with a middle name. :(
JMO, not meant to offend!

Date: 2006-01-05 11:05 am (UTC)would you be against having your child use your last name instead, or does it sound even worse?

Date: 2006-01-05 10:40 am (UTC)Makayla?
Amelia?
Helena? (Huh-lay-nah)
Delaney?
I think a three-syllable middle name would be ideal.
JMO
Date: 2006-01-05 10:46 am (UTC)Lux = light
I liked it alittle bit more than. The only problem I have is all the "deLUXe" jokes that will follow. Are you really set on Lux? If it's the meaning you could always go with a different name that means the same. A really similar name is Luz. Which is Spanish for light
There is also:
Luminita= Romanian (little light)
Orah= Hebrew
If I was dead set on Lux I would pair it with something ultra feminine;
Lux Isabel
Lux Elizabeth or Lux Elsabet
Lux Serenity
Lux Gweneth
Personally I would stay away from Lux Audra, it could be to easily turned into Ultra Deluxe.

Audra Lux
Samaire Lux

Date: 2006-01-05 11:42 am (UTC)I think anything with Lu or Lou in it would work for a formal name - Lucy, Lucinda, Louisa, etc.

Date: 2006-01-07 07:09 am (UTC)i'm planning on just using lux as a full name, rather than a nickname for lucy or something.

Date: 2006-01-05 04:02 pm (UTC)Just out of curiosity did you get the name from The Virgin Suicides? That was the first (and only) place I heard it and I fell in love with it. And Luxie is a cute nickname ;)

Date: 2006-01-10 06:52 pm (UTC)However I haven't seen the virgin suicides and you are obviously in love with the name, perhaps where you come from it isn't known as well as a brand name, because I had never heard of it as a person's name before.
So since you've decided to go with it, I'd recommend that it goes best with a 3-syllable middle name which is why I voted for Adora
