My fiance and I are both very Irish and want to play it safe and name our future kids with Irish names(With the exception of Ava, it's my favorite girl's name.) My name's Shannon.
With that being said:

Siobhan.
pronounced like Chevonne. or shivawn

My dad told me this is what he originally wanted to name me but knew that no one here would know how to say/spell it and he's right off the boat from Belfast, so I already knew all about that.
I really like it, I just don't know if I'd really use it and a middle name?

Siobhan really reminds me of Sybian, which is a sex toy. But, other than that, it's not bad. And it's not pronounced that way at all, but to people who do not know the name, they could possibly do the same thing I did.

I really want to go with the Irish name Egan. It's my mother's maiden name and I really like it.
