[identity profile] o-honeybee-o.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I was in town today and met someone i used to go to school with. She now has a baby daughter and her name is Italee. "It's like the country, but we spelt it with the double 'E' to make it different" she said. I just smiled and commented on how cute the baby was.
But wow, now i don't mind some place names, but that's just bad imo.

I met another baby who's name was Tiylor (a girl), pronounced Tyler.

Way ridiculous names, I couldn't pick which one is worse. Probably the second one.

I have a girl cousin called Tyler so it seems normal to me though the spelling is weird

Tyler on a girl, is a bit od, but you could pull it off, without the crappy spelling!

And Italee....*puke*

I don't understand people who do this. The child's name will be called out a thousand times more than it will ever be written out. Italee sounds no different from Italy; it just causes more of a headache in the long run.

At least she can go by Lee or maybe Alee. Both names are pretty gross. Do they have any connection to Italy or was it just random?

Why didn't they just name her Traishee?
