Honestly I'd just use "Trey" and keep it at that and tell him or everyone else that he's named after Atreyu.

Or A. Trey like Andrew Trey or Alexander Trey.

It's not a BAD name. But it's a lot for a kid to live up to, I think. It's a lot for a kid to try to explain (and they will).

I like Artex better ;) I plan to name my next German shepherd dog Artex.
