babynamesI've been lurking for a while but I'm trying to procrastinate so I thought I'd post.
When I hav a child I plan on naming it either Anne or John. Maybe William. If I had another girl she'd be Elizabeth.
I tell people this and they look at me like I'm crazy and then tell me the kid will hate me for giving it such a "horrible" name.
What gives? If I had to chose between being Rylee Sestina or Anne, I think I'd thank my mother every day for the latter.

Date: 2005-12-17 03:07 pm (UTC)I definitely agree with you. And if they really hated their name that much, each of those names has a variety of wonderful nicknames that they could go by. (Well, Anne doesn't have much else than Annie, but the rest have a lot.)
My kids will all have classic names, too. Woot! (Including John--my favorite =) )
