I've been lurking for a while but I'm trying to procrastinate so I thought I'd post.

When I hav a child I plan on naming it either Anne or John. Maybe William. If I had another girl she'd be Elizabeth.

I tell people this and they look at me like I'm crazy and then tell me the kid will hate me for giving it such a "horrible" name.

What gives? If I had to chose between being Rylee Sestina or Anne, I think I'd thank my mother every day for the latter.

My cousin swore she'd name a daughter Anne Elizabeth. She has three boys and I think she's done. Anyway, I think they're pretty names. I'm not nuts about John (same cousin has used John twice: Kevin John and John Walter, called Jack. And the last one is Patrick Michael) but William is very nice.

I really don't care for the crazy spellings people like these days. Elizabeth is a perfectly nice name, or Elisabeth if you want it to be a little different maybe, but, like, Allysabith? No. Just...no.
