I've been lurking for a while but I'm trying to procrastinate so I thought I'd post.

When I hav a child I plan on naming it either Anne or John. Maybe William. If I had another girl she'd be Elizabeth.

I tell people this and they look at me like I'm crazy and then tell me the kid will hate me for giving it such a "horrible" name.

What gives? If I had to chose between being Rylee Sestina or Anne, I think I'd thank my mother every day for the latter.

When I first skimmed your post, I thought you were going to use Rylee Sestina. O.o Thank goodness I read it through!
I'm with you. My name (Bethany Ruth) is traditional, but I like it. It's a good adult name, and I could have had a nn if I wanted one (although I never did, there are too many Beths in the world).
