I am a writer and I've been thinking if I ever get published, I'd like to keep my fiction writing separate from my non-fiction and memoir writing since they are about vastly different things.  My real name is Alyssa Kuglin (Koog-lynn) and I'd like to use that name for my non-fiction and memoir writing but I think I need a pen name for my fiction writing.  I'd like to keep my first name if possible, but I'm open to all suggestions.  I was thinking of taking a last name from one of the fandoms I belong to, but I go through phases where I love certain things so I don't want to commit to something that is just going to be a phase.

... I think I'll have  my baby girl in my arms sooner than later.

In the event the u/s was misread, we have the following name as a back up name (keeping in mind we are both French speaking living in a majorly French speaking area), what are your thoughts on Timothé Loïc ?

Hello all!

I am nowhere near having kids, but I think about names all the time, and love them. So I was thinking about boys' names, since I generally don't care much for them; my real passion lies in girls' names.

I finally had an idea for one I really love! Love passionately enough to give.

I threw it out there for a few family members' and friends' opinions (they liked it, surprisingly) but I was wondering what a bunch of strangers thought of using the name Everest for a boy.

I'm a huge Mt. Everest enthusiast/fan, and I think it's a good, strong word/name. It's not as "crazy" as some of the place/thing names out there. I just really love it, and it has personal meaning.

If I have girls, they'd be Lorraine Helena and Margaret Diane - Lorraine first. (Those middle names are up for debate, but that's kind of irrelevant for now, in this context.) So a boy-girl sibset would be Lorraine and Everest.

I'd love to get your opinions, though! Yea or nay? (Also - middle name ideas? I keep joking that Himalaya would be a good one, but I am so so joking. LOL)

Hello!

So, I'm writing a work of fiction and I have a bunch of mid-20-somethings, set in the modern day. I did research the popularity lists.

I'm not especially concerned with opinions on the names themselves (I don't even personally like a couple of them, but they fit! lol) but I was wondering if folks here could tell me if this lot of names is convincing/sound right for their age, etc. Do they sound okay? Would you be thrown by them as a reader at all?

Aaron
Noah
Jaime (male)

Thanks!

Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell are the proud parents of a baby girl named Eisele Kaye. According to People, the little one was born Monday [morning] in Nashville.

A rep for Scott told People that the baby's unusual name is pronounced "Eyes-lee." Her full name comes from a combination of her paternal grandmother's maiden name and maternal grandmother's middle name.
