I was reading some comments in previous posts and thought about names that I really liked until someone came along and gave a really negative connotation to it.

For me, I think Kendall is a really pretty name, but now I cringe at the mention of it because that's my husband's crazy ex-girlfriend.

What names did/do you like that have been totally ruined for you?

I mentioned a while ago that Oliver Charles and Susannah Sophia were looking for a middle name for one of their triplets, Elsie. Nathan Charles, Lewis Henry, Zachary Edward are big brothers to James William, Daisy Sophia and Elsie Maria.

Also, none of the names I mentioned in my last post were nicknames. They actually called their son Aby Christopher, but he's a cute baby so maybe it will fit him. If not, he always has the middle name to fall back on. Siblings are Lee Matthew, Kay Alexander, Ryann Eloise.

I'm watching an old episode of Anderson, featuring three sisters named: Taylor, Taryn, and Tierney.

Recently, I've been thinking about my maternal great-grandmothers' names and the sibsets they ended up in.  They're all very turn-of-the-century, but interesting.

Great-Grandmother 1 (Grandma's mother): Helen
Older siblings: Eleanor, Charles, Louis

I find myself wondering how Helen and Eleanor ended up in the same sibset since Eleanor is the Latin offshoot of Helen.

Great-Grandmother 2 (Grandpa's mother): Susie (not Susan, just Susie)
Siblings: Mamie, Frances, Venita, Celestine, Loretto (f), Jarleth (m)

These are all over the place and I love it.  They sound like characters in a novel to me.

WDYT?
