I'm 19 weeks pregnant and we just found out yesterday it's a boy! We're overjoyed. The name we have picked out is: Jonah Robert Stallan.

WDYT? Jonah is Hebrew and means "a dove", Robert is English and means "bright fame" (it's also my husbands middle name), and our surname Stallan is English in origin (I think). :)

ETA: We're Australian.

I was getting shoes for my graduation last night, and there were these two sister trying on shoes next to be (around ages 11 and 8, I'd guess).  Their names were Mannigan and McCoy.  (Just guessing on the spelling.)  WDYT?

Jude is still on the top of our list if we have a boy next month. We're still thinking about middle names. The problem is we're just not having good luck with the E middle names, though there are a couple that we like...but we're not sure if we like them enough.

So what do you all think?

Jude Ellary (or Ellery)English
Jude Ephraim English
Jude Emmerson English
Jude Elias English

Big sister is Lilliana Elizabeth English.

Are there any middle names that don't start with E that you all think would sound phenomenal with the first name Jude? My husband likes Abner, he thinks it sounds really STRONG...I think Abner sounds like an old cat's name.

Today at work, I met two twin boys who couldn't have been more than 4 years old. Their names were Major and Thor.

Also at work today was another little boy named Jonas, nicknamed Jojo.

Last week my husband and I were at Office Depot, and the twenty-something-year-old girl who rang us up was named Rockee (Rocky). I felt bad for her, honestly...

[livejournal.com profile] octobre09 just reminded me that I haven't shared my new baby's name yet either, and she's almost 6 weeks old!

I posted while I was pregnant, looking for opinions on middle names:

We didn't go with any of those!

Meet Lucy Lorelei )

ETA: I'd had Lorelei in mind for a girl's name since...2004-ish. Then I married a man with the last name "Gilman". I just couldn't name my daughter Lorelei Gilman, so close to Lorelei Gilmore, no matter how much I love The Gilmore Girls. I figured it wouldn't matter as much as a middle name!

Actor Chris Hemsworth and his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, have just welcomed their first child, a girl named India Rose.
