Today at work, I met two twin boys who couldn't have been more than 4 years old. Their names were Major and Thor.

Also at work today was another little boy named Jonas, nicknamed Jojo.

Last week my husband and I were at Office Depot, and the twenty-something-year-old girl who rang us up was named Rockee (Rocky). I felt bad for her, honestly...

Although I probably wouldn't use it, Jonas isn't that bad of a name. Rockee strikes me as a dog name or a nickname for something.

I knew a girl in elementary-high school named Raquel & she went by Rocky. I would hope Rockee is a nickname.
Major & Thor = dogs. However, I know someone who named their son Major (their last name is a popular & classic male first name)...I don't like it.

My friend's middle name is Major; it was a family name. I think it's interesting. Thor is not a name that I would use, but I can understand why somebody might use it.

I would probably only ever use Thor for a dog (especially a golden retriever) or a middle name, but it's a cool name. Major is a rank and would work better for a pet.

I like Jonas. However, JoJo is a distinctly female nickname to me for three reasons: the teenybopper singer (Joanne "JoJo" Levesque), a '60s figure skater named JoJo Starbuck, and my younger sister, JoJo (real name: Josephine). It just sounds odd on a boy to me.

Rockee looks unnecessarily misspelled.

My boyfriends brothers names are Major, Colonel and Admiral lol. I thought he was joking the first time he told me, or that they would at the very least be nicknames.

My youngest is Jonas so I love the name, I dislike Jojo but we end up calling him that sometimes anyway. Mostly Mojo Jojo because that's what my older two call him.
