I was looking at birth announcements and stumbled upon what may be the worst name I have ever seen in my 25 years of existence. Best part, it was a mother's name, not a newborn's:

Do you know of a feminine form of Joel?

The obvious is Joelle, which, to be honnest, I think is horrid.  It's too much like Noelle, which I think is a completely contrived name.  And now I think on it, isn't Joelle contrived too?

The only other one I could think of was Jolene.  Not quite the same as Joel, but then Frances and Francine aren't exactly like Frank either.  I have no idea if Jolene has similar meanings to Joel.  Frances Jolene is nice, although Jolene is more American than English.  But Francine Jolene obviously doesn't work.

Other than that, I am stuck!  Do you have any more thoughts?

I just found out that a girl I used to really close with has a toddler, a little girl. The name?

Tequila Rose

The mother, almost 21 years old, is names Sable, with an older sister, Zena, around 28 years old. Apparently, people thought the baby'sname was a joke, but Sable has a tattoo of a rose with a ribbon across it that says "Tequila" with the baby's footprints on either side and birth date under it. The baby's fraternal grandparents call her "Keily" instead. Very smart of them, I think.
