My family's names:

Me: Kimberly Dale (my middle name is after my grandfather.)
Mom: Vera Diane (she goes by Diane because she hates Vera.)
Dad: Edward Lee (he goes by Lee because he hates Edward.)

Siblings:

Tangy Dawn (supposedly my mom saw a lady on Family Feud with the name, when she was pregnant, and liked it. It rhymes with Angie.)
Tanya Lynn
Douglas James

Nieces and Nephews:

Tangy's kids:
Jonathan Dale
Joshua George
Jack Allen
Jameson (?) (middle name has escaped me at the moment, bad auntie.)
Jocelyn Fern

Tanya's kids:
Lily Dyal (half Indian, so she has a traditional middle name.)
Drisani Vera (goes by Ani)
Della Alma
Adeline (I suck because I forgot her middle name too. I have a lot of nieces and nephews!)

Doug's kids:
Samera Jane
Kayden James

My kids:
Oscar David
Imogen Clare
Eloise Ruth (on the way!)

WDYT?

I was surfing around the other day and ended up playing with the babynamegenie. Hated almost all the genie's suggestions LOL. BUT, a question in the letter section got me thinking. The person asked about more modern two part first names - their mom grew up with Mary Jane and the like. The genie suggested Alexa Grace and Zoe Claire. What do you think and what are some other suggestions for two as one names?

New baby!

I heard an unusual name the other day at work: Darolyn. Pronounced like Carolyn, but with a D. I had never heard of it.

What do you think?

Friend of mine is looking for "race neutral" names. Names that, when you hear them, you don't think "Oh that probably a Chinese man's name", or "That's a white girl name".

I've really never thought of the racial aspect of names, so I don't really know how to help her.
She also wants names that "travel" well between culture (like, are easy pronounceable in multiple languages).

Help? ...Thoughts?

I'm watching something on the National Geographic Channel about a leader in the FLDS church named Winston Blackmore.  He has 25 wives and 101 children (approximately).  I looked up the names of some of the children:

Names... )
