Hypothetical twin boys -

One is named Riley Phoenix, the other's first name is Gavin. What are some good middle names for Gavin?

Also, what other middle names do you like for a boy named Riley?

Emerson Wesley.  Yes or no?
Oliver Wesley.  Better or worse?

SSA lists Emerson as a girl's name?  It sounds like a boy's name to me.

A girl who graduated two years behind me had a daughter... Mersadeez.
I seriously said "WHAT THE HELL?" out loud. This girl and I grew up in a rural, farming community, by the way. I know that name reads like a stereotypical inner city type name.

i just took this quiz on facebook, 'how original were your parents in naming you?' and it gave me this idea to look up what you might be named today.

here is the link: http://apps.facebook.com/parentoriginality/

here is how it works... if you arent on facebook or cant, or dont want to, take this quiz, you can find out the rank of your name in the year you were born on the social security website. find your ranking and then find what name is at the same ranking on the most current listings (which i assume is still 2008 at this point) post your results and what you think of that name.

anyway, here are my results from the quiz:

Carrie's parents get a C- for originality.
Ranking: 'Carrie' was the 55th most popular girl's name in her birth year.
Rarity: 60% of girls had rarer names that year. (Grade: C-)
Peak year: 'Carrie' peaked in popularity in 1977.
Current rank: 'Carrie' isn't currently one of the top 1000 girl's names.
Current name: Carrie's parents might name her 'Layla' today (current #55).

(personally, not a fan of layla, and dont look at all like what i picture a layla to be)

ETA: holy crap i am so sorry. i just scrolled down and saw that this was already posted. sorry sorry sorry. me = fail.
