I'm Lindsay and I'm 5 months pregnant.

So me and my boyfriend have been at war about a name for our baby boy.

He's italian and I'm irish.

And he has his heart set on Antonio. And personally, I hate it :(

I was wondering if anyone knows any good italian boy names?? I've been looking like a mad person online but honestly it is so hard to find a good italian boy name that doesn't sound like it should belong to a fat mobster sidekick haha.

My favorite name so far?

Caiden (or could be spelled Cayden) with the middle name of Cross.

Caiden Cross <3 I love this one more than anything I've found so far. So irish and strong, it's perfect.

Ah but, the boyfriend wants an italian name.

Any help would be appreciated here. I'm going nuts :)

After a lot of posts about creative names and spellings and such...

Do YOU have a creative name? Do you know someone who does? How does she/he deal with it?

The only one I can think of is a kid I work with. He goes by Jeff; that's the spelling he has on his name tag, the spelling he uses on Facebook.. the spelling I would assume he had if I hadn't seen the legal version written on the schedule: Jephthe. Oy.

I saw a sad story on CNN.com about a family of 5 murdered.  It was very sad, but I thought the names were really interesting:

Guerline, 32; Michzach, 9; Marven, 6; Maven, 5; Megan, 3; and Morgan, 11 months, were discovered Saturday, Rambosk said. Authorities have been unable to locate Mesac (the father and suspected killer)

My thoughts:

I like Marvin (not Marven) and Maven in a guilty pleasure kind of way.  I don't like Megan but I LOVE Morgan. (More than I thought I would)  Don't like Guerline or Mesac.

A girl came into the office today and, when asked to spell her name out, wrote it as Car6ly. Suffice to say, 'the 6 was silent'.

Now, I've not seen Bandslam, but I'm informed that's where this little trend comes from. I would like to say, however, that I work in a university, so the girl in question had to be 18, and that the forms she was filing in were official University documents. Putting that in her 'preferred name' box means that all her official forms and documents will be addressed as such and, if I'm not mistaken, could lead to her degree certificate being made out to Car6ly.

Perhaps it's actually her given name, and her mother was several decades ahead in her stupidity, but I'm doubting it...

There's been a spate of babies at work recently - three in a fortnight!

Hugh (parents Melissa and James, first baby)
Sienna (parents Liz and Simon, joins sister Evie)
Jake (parents Charlotte and [can't remember father's name], first baby)

None of them are my style, but all nice enough.

My school is letting the city's choir hold auditions in the auditorium, and I looked at the list of kids auditioning and this one definitely caught my eye:

Ultra-Violet

What is this, I don't even...
