I'm going to do this in parts, because it's so long. I won't do it annoyingly though, there will be a lot more than just 3 letters for the rest. :) Gonna try to do it in 3 parts!

First up is A, B, and C.

These are parents as well as children.

My likes will be in the comments.

More stats, ABCs! )

Twins today at work..

Julian Augustus and Julius Adam.

WDYT?

Methinks too matchy-matchy and the Julius and Augustus thing is a bit too much.

I was reading the paper this morning, and I came across the name of a man (he was probably in his 30s):

Zederick.

I kept saying it to my mother, because I couldn't get over it, haha. I actually don't hate it. I kind of like it. Not to use or anything, but just to look at. Has anyone heard of this name before?

My mother said, "Don't name your child Zederick. I'd rather you name your child Jean-Baptiste than Zederick."

My top name for a girl has been Natalia for quite a time now. I'm worried that it's going to creep up and become very popular in the next ten years. Do you have any predictions for the name?

My top name for a boy is Sebastian. Like Natalia, I'm also afraid this is getting too popular.

Do you have any other suggestions for names? I like names that are uncommon, timeless, and it's a plus if they sound good in English and Spanish. What middle names would work?

For a girl, I also like Cecily and Matilda. I would love to use Mili as a nickname, but what could the full name be? I'm afraid to use Emilia, because I fear for its popularity. I'm afraid of popularity, can you tell??!!!

Thanks for any help you can offer. :)

So I am walking along in the Target parking lot, and I see this gem.

Might be a bit large for some.

Here. We. Go. )

Now, Hailey, Aaron, Jesse, and Daisy, they are names I can get behind. Not my style, really, but nice none-the-less. But Hercules? And London? Not so sure. What do you all think?

Do you know what you would have been named if you were the opposite sex now? Do you like it?

My mother would have named me Nathaniel Robert Charles. The double middle name comes from both grandfathers. I actually like it a lot, which is surprising because I am indifferent about my actual name.

What is your most hated non-trendy name?

The winner from the Brisk and Breezy names is Finn! Finn comes from the Old Norse name Finnr which means "one from Finland".

The next list is Celtic names and since it was so long I'm dividing it into two parts, girls and boys. Have fun!

ETA: I just realized that there's a second three way there and I just going to keep in there.

The other day my boyfriend and I were in the car, driving through a sort of bad area, which caused him to start listing other towns nearby that he didn't like. They were Everett, Chelsea, and Lynn. My first reaction was to giggle and point out "those are all names!" That said, I'm pretty sure none of those names can be used by us if only because of his extremely bad association with them. I do love Everett, for a middle name, but also can't help but think of the town.

Does anyone else have any place/name associations? Good or bad. For some reason, I can't help but think of Wisconsin when I hear Madison (damn elementary school and pounding those state capitals into my head), though if I wanted to use the name, I don't think that'd stop me just because I have no personal association with that state. Also, any names you love that most others might associate with a place moreso than a person?

One last thing: are Elliot(t) and Everett too close to use, even if the latter would be a middle name?

An absolute shocker for you all here.
One of the girls in my little sisters class (11/12 year olds) is called:

Chellc

why ruin a perfectly good name like Chelsea with such a hideous spelling?

We played a game fairly recently where we provided a list of first and middle names, and others suggested new combinations.

Just wanted to try that again.

You can put your choices in a comment and others, please respond to the comment with your suggestions. I will comment on this post to start off.

Enjoy!
