A friend of mine had a baby boy on Thursday. His name:  Remington Daniel.
He joins big sister Darcy and big (half) brother Peter.
I'm not a fan but I guess it could be a lot worse.

Madeline Jane (Grace, Thomas)
Twins: Brody Winston and Logan Elizabeth (m and f)
James Edward
Twins: Jack Eric and Evan Edward
Isabelle Kelsey

And from another paper:

Mason David
William Scott
Connor Wade
Natalie Paige

I'm pretty impressed with most of the first batch overall. Madeline, Grace and Thomas, especially makes for a nice sibset. But Brody and Logan ... ewww! Apart from the fact that I don't like those names to begin with, it's just so backward. I can't see Logan on a girl, but the only Brodie I've ever known was a girl, so the names should be reversed in my mind!

I love Connor Wade, but there aren't really any in the second batch of names that make me cringe except Mason.

I decided to re-do my name list

It's not too long, I promise... )It's not too long, I promise... )

It's a mix of guilty pleasures and probable names for future children. Any other suggestions, combos, sibsets are most welcome (I Plan on having at least 4 kids so I'd love to see what others thought). Those marked with (mn) are middle names only - the rest can be used for either.

Thanks!!

-Is it wrong to be obsessed with the meanings behind names as a rationale for choosing them?

First of all - wdyt of the name Shoshana?

Secondly - does the fact that it's a Jewish name pop into your head as soon as you hear it? Would it be weird for a Catholic person to name their kid this?

My gf and I are going to start TTC late April or early May. I have always had more of a liking to girl names, although I have a few boy names. Which do you think would go best as a sibset? And which, if any do you think would work together as first & middle. Feel free to add names that I may not have for suggestions! Thanks. :)

Today I scored a regional contest for k-12 students. Here were the names, which I can remember, of the participants:

Mihir (M)
Anthony
Daniel (Danny)
Braden
Michael
Samuel (Sam)
Danielle
Julianna
Tiffany
Andrew
Samantha
Zulay
Yaneth (F)
Yansi (prn. Yahn-say, I think, F)
Keila

When I was looking at her paper, I couldn't figure out what Keila actually spelled....who knew it was prn. Kayla...not me. :-)
