A friend of mine had a baby boy on Thursday. His name:  Remington Daniel.
He joins big sister Darcy and big (half) brother Peter.
I'm not a fan but I guess it could be a lot worse.

It's too hoity-toity compared to down-to-earth Darcy and Peter.

I LOVE Remington. It's my brother's middle name and I've already planned on using it.

It sounds really pretentious. Daniel is nice though, as are Darcy and Peter.

I don't hate it, but that's because I like Remy as a nickname. Remington sounds a little pretentious actually. And it's a gun, and a TV show.

That's...kind of ridiculous.

It makes me think of Remington Steele... idk why, I don't really know what that is, lol.

I think I might like this name better on a girl because you could use the nickname Remy or Remi.

Remington Steele was an 80s TV show and Pierce Brosnan's big break.

Like others, I'd say Remy (which is a French boy's name) makes a very handy nickname.

All I think of when I hear Remington is this http://www.remington-products.com/

Sorry but I think it's a terrible name.

Hmm. . .Daniel is fine (but then again, I know so many people with that name that I'm kind of immune to either liking or disliking it). Remington. . . I like it as a last name, but it's an interesting first name.

Random side note: Although I first was familiar with the name Darcy from reading "Homecoming" (and the rest of the series), I still associate it with "Pride and Prejudice".
