I had a dream tonight were one of my best friends as a child (Daniela) had to abort twin girls.
Their names were:
Aperte prn Ah-PEHR-tay(which strangely is the italian word for "open", feminine plural, but I didn't think of this until I was awake)
and
Apearly

WDYT? How weird are they?

I went to my friend's baby shower today, and found out they are planning to name their baby boy Herbie.
I am not a fan, but her boyfriend's mother mentioned that they're throwing around Jack, too.
WDYT?
for the record, parents are Sarah (20) and Josh (19).
and personally, I definitely prefer Jack.

i thought it'd be fun to have a different sort of post. i don't think this has ever been done before.

i'm half japanese and half italian. i thought it'd be cool to find the most popular japanese names and the most popular italian names and post them. then in this thread you guys can post the most popular names from countries of wherever (whether it's where you live, where your grandparents are from, or whatever)..and make sure not to post the same list(s) as others!

here are the most popular names from japan and italy: Read more... )

I'm having trouble naming my new car...

My old car was called Julian, and I knew it as soon as I got in the car, but I just can't get anything to click!

I've toyed with Cedric, but it's just not right...
I've also toyed with The Tardis, purly so I can say I've driving round in the Tardis [Yes I know...], but I feel thats a little geeky...
I think he's a boy car, but a girl name might just click!
I need something that goes nicely with Julian as I still own him, Trevor and Boris as they will be the cars he;s parked next to at work!, and it has to be a longer name that can be shortened to one syllable!

Or if you have no suggestions, what inanimate objects have you named?
