So, I'm studying this semester in South Africa, and we have these orientation leaders for international students with very interesting names. As far as I know, these are all legitamate names, rather than being made up or "creative". I'm separating them into males versus females because its not always obvious. Also, most of them are of African descent, but a couple are of European descent.

boys:
Moses
Tawanda
John
Ken
Thapz (pronounced like the word Taps, also this is a nickname I'm not sure what his full name is but Thapz is a shortened version of it)

girls:
Chenai (pronounced Shenai)
Thabi (pronounced like Tabby, a nickname, shortened version of her full hame)
Ronel (Row-nelle)
Monique
Nyoko

I've always liked Biblical names... unfortunately this book has them grouped oddly...

Okay, so I've narrowed down the name list to three boy names and three girl names.  As we are only planning to have two children, this should suffice.[Poll #1226426][Poll #1226426]

Haven't done this in a while/jumping on the bandwagon after seeing others do it. All comments welcome!

I go to Ohio State University and this summer I've been working at a pizza place.

OSU is a very spirited school with a very good football team. The school's colors are scarlet and gray.

Last week I overheard an orientation leader say that she wanted to marry a guy with the last name Gray so she could name her daughter:

Scarlett Ann Gray

Not a bad name, but I think it may be a little much.

I always found this interesting, and thought maybe some of you would as well. Many clothing companies name their products using actual names. I shop frequently at Delia's, so I thought I'd list the ones they are currently using.

I think these are supposed to be all girl names. )
