My cousin is pregnant. She's about 14 weeks or so along. Today, I asked her what names she had picked out.

For a girl: Kendall

For a boy: Carter

(Just guessing on the spelling, but I'm hoping she won't go the kre8tiv route or anything). I'm pleased. Kendall is growing on me, and while Carter isn't my favorite name or anything, it sounds appealing when I think of it on a brand new baby cousin :)

We were looking at baby things, when we saw a woman with an adorable baby. We began talking to her, and we found out her name was Natalia. She also has two big brothers named Tristan and Brendan.

I like all of these names :) Natalia is a nice spin on Natalie, and I like Tristan and Brendan, as well :) even if they're not my favorites, or anything, still good names :)

Friends of mine had their baby this week, a boy they named William Robert B________

WDYT?

Unlike lots of people I know, I really dislike the name William. I don't mind Wil or Liam, but William as a whole is not something I like very much. However, this name fits the parent's styles perfectly (and he shares his father's mn) and I'm happy it's not another Aidan variation!

Babyzone.com has always been my main source for names, and today I found this tool

http://www.babyzone.com/babynames/baby-name-advisor.asp

You input a person's full name and it gives a personality portrait.
I tried mine and my partner's full names and I was struck at the description it offered.
Now, I'm not one to go after quizzes or horoscopes *at all*, and I generally think the outcome is a global answer that really anyone can relate to.

But the ones it gave me were so in depth and so accurate, it blew my mind.
And from only a name? :D

Try it out !!

So we found out for sure we're having a baby girl :)

We have a few names we like, but we've decided to wait until we see her face to choose.
As some of you may remember, we liked the name Londen Elizabeth, our last name is English.. well we've decided against that name, because we don't want to be "those parents"...Such as the ones I recently heard named their daughters. Summer Rayne, and Precious Jewel. *shakes head*

Okay so our three top first names are:

Lillian
Margot
Mira

The middle names we want to use are either Elaine, Elizabeth, or possibly Ann

OUR TOP name is Lillian Elaine, however we are not set on it.

What do you all think, what are your favorite combos of those names?

Juliette

Thoughts? Suddenly we both like it. Juliette. Julie. I don't know; I think it sounds good with our last name too (it's a decidedly French one, ending in "eau").

A lady my mom works with just had a baby girl named Ella. I don't know the middle name yet. She joins older brothers Andrew(3) and Noah(2).

By itself, not short for Anne/Ann.

I just got a new job. I'm bored & I decided to post the names of some people at work via the weekly schedule. This is about half of the actual list because there are A LOT of people at my job. I've omitted some, but not all, common/regular names (including my own, Jessica), & included ones that caught my eye. There are a lot of Marks, Matthews, Daniels, & Davids, btw, but I obviously didn't include them on this list.

I've also separated them by position, just for my own personal...reason. I don't know.

namesssss )

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, my name is Jessica. I am completely surprised I'm the only Jessica on the entire list! I am very, very used to being one of 2/3/4/5/6/7 Jessicas at any given time, but nope, out of about 200ish or more people I'm the only one. Weird, isn't it? By the way we're all 18+ (I'm 19). Some people at work are probably in their 40s or 50s, just in case you're wondering...
