Hello! I'm new here, and I am 12w3d pregnant. My name is Annie and I live in NY, near Poughkeepsie.
We are due December 15th, 2008..and we have picked out 2 names:
For a girl: Lily Marion Romer
For a boy: Alexander Joseph Romer

My dad's name is Joseph and my boyfriend's Grandma's name was Marion..and she passed away last year. She was very important to us.

I hope everyone has a pleasant night, and good luck with everything =]

If you had twin girls, what 2 names do you love that you think go really well together?

.. now do the same for twin boys :)

You have to name  children (boys or girls)

One must end in -er
One must end in -son
One must end in -den
One must end in -dan
One must start with Mc-
One must end in -ly
One must end in -i

Middle names are your choice.

Want a real challenge? Come up with names that begin with the endings above :)

My answers:
Christoper Harris
Mason Harvey
Hayden Silas
Brendan George
McTanish Lahclan
Bradly Martin
Heidi Willa

Erin
Sonny
Dennis

Names really do make a difference
Research shows that girls with 'feminine' names steer clear of 'masculine' maths and science

Anushka Asthana, education correspondent
The Observer, Sunday April 29 2007

Parents are being warned to think long and hard when choosing names for their babies as research has discovered that girls who are given very feminine names, such as Anna, Emma or Elizabeth, are less likely to study maths or physics after the age of 16, a remarkable study has found.

i bolded the parts that i found most interesting. )

There's a family I know who has seven kids (or, I think that's how many there are; maybe I'm missing one, lol). Their initials are all CMP. I don't know all their middle names, though; only a couple.

They are, in order from oldest to youngest:

Crystal
Courtney Mona
Colin Maxwell
Cassandra Monique
Cody
Candace
Cameron (b)

WDYT?

I've been lurking on this comm for forever lol.

But I finally decided to post something.

what are your opinions on these names.

Sian (pronounced Sharn) thats my name.

Bethan (pronounced Beth-anne) my  13 yr old sister

Riona (rhymes with Fiona) my 11 yr old sister.

EDIT: I am British, Sian & Bethan are both Welsh names and Riona is (i think) Irish

Also one of my mums hairdressers relatives has a little girl called:

Heaven-Leigh (pronounced Heavenly)

WTF????

i have two cats - maggie and nigel. maggie is a little old lady, nigel is a spry little guy, only seven months old. my boyfriend has a dog, her name is virginia. we are moving in together soon, so i jokingly refer to them as siblings. we are totally animal people, and have already decided that our next dog will be named indiana. anyway. the boy works at an animal emergency clinic, and has a heart of gold, so nigel is a new adoptee, and now, we have a three day old orphaned kitten who we are raising (bottle feeding, etc) until he is old enough to be adopted out. supposedly.

(yea right)

the little guy looks just like a tiny version of a newborn panda bear, so i have been affectionately calling him panda, but considering the likelihood of him becoming a part of our (ever growing) family is extremely high, i would like to find a name for him that goes well with the others, and panda just doesnt fit. i havent named a pet since i was like ten years old, all the animals ive had have come with their names, so i am finding myself at a loss. if he were a girl, i would probably just take a name from my girls name list, like daisy or stella or something, but i have so few on my boys list, i just dont know. i am stumped. i am looking to you guys for suggestions!

maggie
virginia
nigel
???

thoughts?

ETA: i just looked at my list and am pondering leo, nico, ezra, miles/milo? what do you think? any other suggestions?
