So, I heard on the news today about a baby that was born prematurely because the mother got shot.  Yeah, the baby seems to be fine, but the name isn't.  His name is Jayden Alikeys Malik *LastName*.  Alikeys is said al-uh-keeys.  I don't mind the names Alikeys and Malik, but it's Jayden that I absolutely hate.

My husband and I decided to TTC soon. :o

So, I don't know if this is new or not, oh well. :P Let's play a game! :D W

If you know some folks named Troy Andrew and Angelique Noel, what do you imagine their childrens names would be (the first ones to pop in your head when you hear/see those names)?

Is there a longer version if a child has the nickname "Josie"? There is a kid in Jordyn's school who is called Josie, but Jordyn says that it isnt her real name. I can't for the life of me think of what it could really be.

I have loved this name since I read Oedipus last year, but she is the one who happen to marry her own son :( Insest aside, I think it sounds really new, despite its age. I think I like the way it flows-- Cora Jocasta (even though I didn't want it to end with an A!!)

WDYT?

I'm new to this community, and I joined it mainly because I really, really like names. Like, all of my pets have seven names each, and they're all fairly strange names (Nina Pinta Santa Maria Lucy, Maralena Marie Jade, Wednesday Christina Godiva, Carissa Revan Laura Ophelia, Cabrina Lucky Juhani, Nicholas Lucian Loki Sullivan, Siranda Bellatrix Cyan, Serenity Beatrix Circe, Wesker Bosley, Maddy Luna Balto) Yeah, I have a lot of pets. Anyway, I also like to write fanfiction, and I also like making up names for original characters, whenever the occasion pops up. Though, I don't usually write oringial characters, but what the hell.

Anyway, currently, I'm writing a fanfiction for the Silent Hill fandom, which features a character named 'Walter Sullivan'. If you've played Silent Hill 4 you know what I'm talking about, but anyway, in my story there's this part where I would like to give his middle name, but I don't think its ever mentioned in the game.

So, I have to ask, what flows well in between 'Walter' and 'Sullivan'? If you need to see what he looks like, he's on my icon. Oh, and he's a villain, so I guess something kind of dark would be nice.

Anyway, I'm glad I found this community!

Thanks!

before DH and I got pregnant, we fell in love with the girl's name Evelyn Noel ( my grandmother's middle name and his mother's maiden name). Now we are pregnant, due around Christmas. (Yay! Baby!) we think the double meaning behind the name is cute, but my MIL says we should save the name for another baby cause it is too tacky. WDYT?

Sooo, I just finished watching Passion of the Christ for my World Religions class.
And, I really liked the way that the name Jesus is pronounced in ancient Aramaic.
It sounds like Yeshua.
Frankly, I thought it sounded beautiful when the actors said it.

Thoughts?

A girl who was just on the radio:

Blythe

What do you all think?

Edit - I'm going to add that apart from the obvious association with those massive-eyed dolls...I actually quite like it.
Anyhow it's not THAT bad an association, there have been worse!

http://www.thisisblythe.com/ - These are the dolls I was referring to.
