So, I heard on the news today about a baby that was born prematurely because the mother got shot.  Yeah, the baby seems to be fine, but the name isn't.  His name is Jayden Alikeys Malik *LastName*.  Alikeys is said al-uh-keeys.  I don't mind the names Alikeys and Malik, but it's Jayden that I absolutely hate.

It's terrible that he was born prematurely because his mother was shot... but I don't like Jayden either. Out of all the -aden/-ayden names, I only like Hayden. Malik is kind of cool.

Alikeys was the name that got me. It sounds too much like allen keys, which just reminds me of Ikea.

i think malik has a nice sound to it and the 3 maliks i've come across thus far have all been thoughtful & quiet people, interestingly. jayden is meh and the other name is just odd.

is Malik pronounced "ma-LEEK" or properly in the arabic pronunciation of "MAL-ik"? because i love the arabic but i hate the americanized.
